The Innovation Machine

Management’s main task is to create within the organisation a culture of innovation which will empower workers to think creatively, collaborate on ideas and contribute their ideas to the company. This is not an easy task, but done well it will make construction of the remainder of the innovation machine a relatively easy job.

Management must…

* Ensure there is an environment of trust
* Establish innovation goals
* Designate responsibility and resources
* Develop a communications plan
* Demonstrate innovation
* Reduce creative risk
* Establish a rewards scheme

  1. Hi,

    I like the article, but it appears to be a straight reprint of content from the JPB (Jenni) website. If you haven’t already, you might like to check with Jeffrey Baumgartner of JPB as to whether JPB are happy with you reprinting/syndicating their content in full. The normal convention is to selectively quote from the content and put some of your own discussion around it.

    Incidentally, my blog Think Differently!! at has a similar tagline to yours – you might be interested in having a look at that.

    Kind regards,

  2. My intention was to edit this post. Unfortunately, my workplace has had intermittent connectivity. Thanks for your comment.
