If you haven’t seen the film Genghis Blues, put it on your list of “to-dos” or ta-da’s.

Paul Pena played blues with the greats T-Bone Walker, B.B. King, and Bonnie Raitt. In 1995, the blind bluesman became the first American ever to compete in an unusual contest of multi-harmonic throat-singing in Tuva.

Here’s a sample of the music.

The music tells a great story of the blending of cultures and traditions into something new.
