What
is
TEDx? In
 the
spirit
 of
ideas
 worth
spreading,
TEDx
is
 a
 program
 of
 local,
self‐organized
 events
that bring
 people
together
to
share
a
TED‐like
experience.
At
a
TEDx
 event,
TEDTalks
video
and
live
speakers
 combine to
spark
deep
discussion
 and
 connection
in
a
small
group.
These
 local,
self‐organized
 events
are
branded
TEDx, where
x=independently
organized
TED
event.
The
 TED
Conference
 provides
general
guidance
for
the
TEDx program,
but
individual
TEDx
events
are
self‐organized.

What
is
TEDxWaterloo? TEDxWaterloo
is
an
independently
 organized
TED
 event
that
will
take
place
in
the Region
of
Waterloo
on
 February
25,
2010,
running
from
 2:00
PM
to
8:00
PM.
The
theme
 for
TEDxWaterloo
is
 Tomorrow
Started
 Yesterday and
it
 will
take
place
 at
the
 Gig
 Music
Hall
in
Kitchener,
Ontario
(137
Ontario
St.
 North,
 Kitchener).
 The diverse
 speaker
lineup
will
consist
of
cross‐disciplinary
thinkers
from
 the
business,
art, technology,
education,
social
justice
and
design
 communities.
